
The Isles of Scilly Fire and Rescue Service is the statutory fire and rescue service of Isles of Scilly which covers an area of 16.3 kilometers square with 2,100 residents. The area is in the off coast of South West England. The service is the smallest fire service in the entire UK and is the only one crewed entirely by retained/on-call firefighters who live nearby the stations so they can come over within 5 minutes after a call is received.
There 6 stations operating in the area and they are at Bryher, St. Agnes, St. Mary’s, St. Mary’s Airport, St. Martin’s, and at Tresco. The main station is located in St. Mary’s Airport and is administered by Chief Fire Officer Steve Webster.
