NorthumberlandFireandRescueServiceLogoResized Northumberland Fire and Rescue ServiceNorthumberland Fire and Rescue Service is the statutory fire and rescue service of Northumberland, England.  It has 17 operational fire stations strategically scattered all over the area. Its main headquarters is located in Cramlington, Northumberland.

The service has 2 stations operating at wholetime-retained duty system and they are based at Pegswood and at West Hartford while the other 2 stations are operating on a daytime/on-call duty system. The remaining stations are on a retained duty system and they are at Allendale, Alnwick, Amble, Belford, Bellingham, Haltwhistle, Haydon Bridge, Ponteland, Prudhoe, Rothbury, Seahouses and at Wooler.

The service performs varied tasks which includes searching and rescuing people trapped in closed spaces or collapsed establishment; firefighting; attending to road accidents and traffics as well as conducting seminars regarding fire safety and fire alarms
