
Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service is the statutory fire and rescue service of Oxfordshire.
Presently, the service has 24 operational fire stations which are strategically installed all over the area. The stations are a mixture of fulltime, retained and day crewed. The fire stations are located in Oxford (at Rewley Road and Slade Park), Didcot, Abingdon, Wallingfordm Faringdon, Wantage, Goring, Henley-on-Thames, Thame, Wheatley, Watlington, Banbury, Hook Norton, Chipping Norton, Charlbury, Woodstock, Kidlington, Witney, Burfordm Eynsham, Deddington, Bicester and Bampton.
The main station is located in Kidlington and is headed by Chief Fire Officer David Etheridge.
In addition, the service aims to promote to have a safer community through education, partnerships and enforcement. These activities will help reduce the occurrences of fires which means that there is a minimal fire casualties. They also aim to provide the best quality service to the public and to sustain the excellence achieved by the service.
