West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service is the statutory fire and rescue service of West Sussex in England. It is under the authority of West Sussex County Council.

It has an area of 383 kilometers square with a population of 762,000. As of January 2011, there are 28 fire stations of the service; its main station is in Chichester and is administered by Max Hood. The stations are split into 6 districts and they are as follows:

The wholetime operating station is in Horley, located in Crawley District. It owns Water Tender Ladder, Operational Support Unit, Multi-Role Vehicle, Incident Response Unit, 5 Urban Search and Rescue Vehicles, and a Technical Rescue Unit.

For the wholetime/retained operating stations, they are in:

  • Worthing, Worthing District. It has 3 Water Tender ladders, Aerial Ladder Platform, and Heavy Rescue Tender
  • Crawley, Crawley District. It owns 3 Water Tender ladders, Heavy Rescue Tender and Landrover 4×4
  • Chichester, Chichester District. It own 2 Water Tender Ladder, Heavy Rescue tender, Breathing Apparatus Support Unit and a Landrover 4×4
  • Horsham, Horsham District. It has 2 Water Tender Ladders, Aerial Ladder Platform, Heavy Rescue Tender, Breathing Apparatus Support Unit and a Landrover 4×4
  • Bognor Regis, Arun District. It has 2 Water Tender ladders, operational Support Unit, Command Unit and a Landrover 4×4

For day crewed and retained stations, they are in:

  • Shoreham by Sea, Worthing and Adur District. It has 2 Water Tender Ladders, Breating Apparatus Support Unit and a Landrover 4×4
  • Haywards Heath, Mid Sussex District. It has 2 Water Tender Ladders, Incident Command Unit, and a Command Unit
  • Burgess Hill, Mid Sussex District. It has 2 water Tender Ladders, and a Bulk Fluid Carrier
  • East Grinstead, mid Sussex District. It has 2 Water Tender Ladders and a Landrover 4×4

For stations operating in a reatained uty system, they are in:

  • Lancing, Worthing and Adur District. It owns 2 Water Tender Ladders
  • Turners Hill, Hurstpierpoint and in Keymer, Mid Sussex District which all have Water Tender Ladder
  • Bosham, Petworth, Midhurst, Selsey, and East Wittering in Chichester District
  • Storrington, Patridge Green, Billinghurst and Steyning in Horsham District
  • Arundel in Arun District
